Q. What advice do you have for a client looking to hire a provider like you?
A. There are now several Reiki Master classes. The traditional way one became a Master is to apprentice for at least one year prior to becoming a Reiki Master. Also, the apprentice had been already introduced to all levels of Reiki for one year prior to taking the Reiki Apprentice program. Now, there are classes where at the end of a weekend and individual not only learns Reiki, but is also considered a Reiki Master. My training was done in the traditional format. I have been a Reiki Master for 11+ years. I have been a key note speaker on Reiki at the hospitals during their wellness weeks. I have my RN, BSN, CCM for 22+ years. I am a Analytical Hypnotherapist and Spiritual Counselor. Reiki is a transformational tool. Allow it to change your life on all levels.
Note, it is most important that regardless of a Reiki Masters experience you connect with the Reiki Master and see how you feel about the individual. Is this someone that you feel a connection with. This will give you the answer. Trust your heart and intuition.
Q. If you were a client, what do you wish you knew about your trade? Any inside secrets to share?
A. When looking for a Reiki instructor, see if they belong to the Reiki alliance. This organization was started by the original traditional 21 Reiki Masters. This organization verifies each teacher's credentials looking at the Reiki Masters lineage of teachers. If the Reiki Master is invited to be a member, this means they were interviewed and their teachers are traced back to the traditional Usui Method of Reiki. Therefore, all the Reiki Masters in their lineage provided the same information as theirMaster did all the way back to Dr Usui who rediscovered this ancient healing technique. Also, this means the attunement
process which is done to ignite the Reiki in each student is done in the traditional way. Reiki change lives. It not only assists in dealing with stress and pain. It also is an incredible catalyst for personal growth and awareness. You experience personal clarity and much more.
Q. What questions should a client ask to hire the right service professional?
A. When I was in search of a Reiki Master teacher, these are the questions I asked.
1. Ask about their training?
2. Are they a member of the Reiki Alliance?
3. How long have they been teaching?
4. Did they apprentice with another Reiki Master for at least one year prior to receiving their Reiki Master or was it a weekend class without instruction and practical experience regarding how to teach.
